Henning Kröpke - Germany
This section contains the columns of Henning Kröpke, who will be reporting from Germany.
About Henning Kröpke:
Henning Kröpke is a gaming enthusiast living in Germany. After being reintroduced to games after finishing school in 1993 he started to play and collect games - besides the typical European/German games like Die Siedler von Catan a lot of strange games from all over the world.
Besides working as a physicist for the last 5 years he spent more and more of his free-time for game-developing for different small publishers in Germany, Europe and the USA. Together with friends he still organizes a game convention for 80 – 100 gamers twice each year.
Because of recent private changes he switched into self-employment and now works both as a physicist for his old company and as a game editor for different game companies like Phalanx Games and 2F-Spiele. That allows him to go to even more game conventions and shows like Spiel in Essen, Spielwiesn in Munich, Spielefest in Vienna and private meetings in France and the USA.
Henning lives in Ascheberg, Germany.

Henning Kröpke: A Gamer´s View On Nürnberg International Toy Fair
As Rick wrote several days before, he always wanted to travel to Nürnberg to see the other game show in Germany besides the famous Spiel in Essen, the Nürnberg International Toy Fair. He also wrote that all players he asked who already went to this show, told him to stay at home. There must be a reason! To give you a better idea, I will try to give you a short gamer´s view on Nürnberg International Toy Fair.
Henning Kröpke: A Report from three European Game Conventions
Finally, here is the first report from your correspondent from Germany. I know it is late but hopefully you will enjoy it nonetheless – a report about three European game conventions I attended in October and November 2005.
As a result of my recent change in to self-employment and working for different game companies I am visiting even more game conventions than I used to. I have to work instead of simply walking around, but luckily there is still enough time to get a good overview.
