Ad Astra, Coming in 2009 from Nexus
In addition to featuring hundreds of new games, the Spiel 08 convention in Essen, Germany will feature advance looks at many games to be released over the next year, including Bruno Faidutti and Serge Laget’s Ad Astra. Nexus Games plans to publish this game in Q2 2009, but Spiel attendees will get a first look at what this space exploration game has to offer.
Well, a second look really as co-designer Faidutti has posted a half-dozen images and a history of the game on the Ad Astra page on his website. If only the images were larger…

Roberto di Meaglio, Nexus CEO, talk a bit about the game in a interview for the Web Radio “Frequenza Ludica” during PLAY: the game festival (of course, in Italian) http://www.improntadigitale.org/Trasmissioni/Frequenza_ludica/frequenza.asp# Ad Astra will be the first game in a new “Designer Serie” from Nexus Games. The serie, like already happening in books and movies, will be dedicates to famous designers (but new games) including biography in the box. A lot of other interesting news about Italians releases in the other interviews ... I hope to have sometimes time to write up a sort of summary and post here.
