American Pie - Coming in 2008 from Winning Moves Germany
Jeffrey Allers, BGN’s own Postcards from Berlin columnist, has signed a deal with Winning Moves Germany for a title to be released no later than Essen 2008. The name of the game is American Pie, and I’ll publish a game preview—along with comments from my prototype playing—in the near future. Congrats, Jeff, and congrats to everyone else because this is one sweet game!

Congratulations, Jeff! This is starting to become a habit, but a very nice one! American Pie, huh? Hmm...well, it can’t be like the song, because then it would be too long and Winning Moves wouldn’t publish it. And it can’t be like the movie, ‘cause then you’d have to be at least 16 to play it. (Actually, I just noticed that both the song and the movie prominently feature my last name.) So I guess I’ll just have to wait for Eric’s preview to find out why it has that title! I’m not sure yet if the name will remain “American Pie,” but if it does, I’ll have to make a last-minute design change to include the name “Levy” somewhere. There is also a chance that Winning Moves U.S.A. will publish it. Posted by Jeff Allers on Nov 29, 2007 at 03:14 AM | #
