Ask Fantasy Flight: Expansions, Expansions, Expansions!
Q: Is there anything in the works for a new TI3 expansion?
A: Not yet. We’re pretty heartened by the response to TI3: Shattered Empire, and people keep asking for more expansions to the game, so perhaps there might be something else down the road.
Q: Which of the several EON Cosmic Encounter expansions do you plan to include in the base box and which ones you are planning to release as expansions?
A: It’s WAY too early for that question! It’s a simple fact that more people will own the base game than any expansion, so we have to make sure the base game can be a complete game in and of itself. We’ll be working closely with Peter to come up with the best assortment of content possible for the base game.
Q: What is the status of upcoming Runebound expansions? Can you give general details about how they change the game? Any more big expansions coming?
A: There is indeed a new large expansion on the horizon: Frozen Wastes. There’s playtesting going on in the office right now, after which we will begin sending it to outside playtest groups. —Jeremy Stomberg
