Ask Zev: Czech vs. American Prophecy

Q: For Prophecy, will you be offering any type of “upgrade” kit for owners of the existing Czech game? And how well will the Z-Man version of the expansions fit with the Czech original game (as opposed to the Z-Man version of the original game)?

A: As to the first part of the question, sorry, no, no upgrade kit is available. For the second part well, I have not gotten to the expansions at all yet but I can’t imagine them not working with the original Czech core game. But let me expand on that by saying I know we have used a couple of rules from the expansion and put them into the core set so “our” expansion will be a little different - but again, it should work with any version of the core set.

However you should consider my version for purchase even if you have the original because we changed many of the cards for the reason of decreasing playing time (the creature cards reward players faster and we’ve reduced the cost of many items) by building up characters faster in order to battle the Astral guardians.
