Ask Zev: RE II?
Q: Can you update us on the progress of Reef Encounters of the Second Kind with the second edition artwork? Any chance that it could be released in 2007? It’s a definite purchase for me if and when it is released. Thanks for agreeing to do this column!
A: You’re welcome. Right now What’s Your Game? is going over their pricing structure. The first offer they gave me would make it impossible to sell the game for less than $30. I don’t want to sell it for more than $25. So I’m waiting to see what they want to do. They also told me that they are pretty sure they won’t make it this Essen and plan it for
2008.

RE:2ndK is definitely worth picking up. I found it doesn’t improve original gameplay, but makes for a “different” gaming experience with some interesting additions. This is both good and bad news, heh… bad to know that it won’t be available until 2008 at the earliest and there are still details to be ironed out it seems… but great to know that Zev is still actively pursuing this and trying to keep the price down, wonderful!
