Babel13 – New Expansion for Neuroshima Hex! at Spiel 08

Portal Publishing will release its first real expansion for Neuroshima Hex! at Spiel 08. (A fifth set of army tiles was distributed at Spiel 07 as a preorder bonus, but not otherwise available.) The Babel13 expansion, which will retail for €19, includes two new armies: New York and Neo Jungle. The New York HQ adds a point of endurance to adjacent friendly units, while the Neo Jungle HQ forms the nexus for a Motherland of friendly tiles; any friendly modules attached to a unit in the Motherland transfer their abilities to all units in the Motherland. Some Neo Jungle units poison enemy units when they do damage, which translates into an additional point of damage at the start of subsequent battles.

The expansion also includes terrain tiles, which affect the normal rules for shooting, moving, etc., in addition to rules for creating terrain-enhanced scenarios.
