Great.  I already think of songs when I hear this name.  First it was the old WWII hit Rum and Coca-Cola ("Rum and A-GRI-cola!"), then it was an old Big Band ballad called Amapola.  Now I have a new one.  Thanks, Rocky!  :-)

What is the “official” pronounciation, anyway?  Agri-Cola just sounds wrong to me.  To my ears, something like “uh-grik-uh-lah” (no real emphasis on any one syllable...maybe just a bit on the first, but not much) is more accurate.

A friend of mine who took Latin says the proper pronunciation is ag-RI-co-la.  No doubt correct, but not nearly as much fun to say!

Jon & Larry’s friend are correct.

But Agri-cola is so much fun. Think of the expansion where your fields suddenly produce much more valuable crops ... but your children stop working. I like to call it C*ca Cola.

yeah, I suppose a slight emphasis on the second syllable is what I was thinking.

(4 years of Latin is HS are finally paying off!  Sweet!)
