Boardgames Australia Announces Nominees for Best Int’l Game

Founded in 2007 in order to raise awareness of new strategy games across the continent, Boardgames Australia has announced its shortlist of nominees for the 2008 Best International Game award. The nominees are:

  • 10 Days in Asia
  • Chang Cheng
  • Notre Dame
  • Portobello Market
  • Qwirkle
  • Thebes
  • Vikings
  • Zooloretto
The winner of this category, as well as the previously announced categories of Best Australian Game and Best Childrens’ Game, will be announced on June 7, 2008.

Some great photos to go with some familiar names on that site. Have a browse through the judging panels for snaps of Fraser, Melissa, John Farrell and Neil Thomson amongst others.

Aside from Melissa who has the same image as her BGG avatar, all the faces were new to me (even if the names weren’t).
