Catan: Traders and Barbarians - Coming in June from Mayfair

Mayfair Games will release the English edition of Catan: Trades and Barbarians on June 26.

This addition to the fourth edition of Catan includes four variants – such as rules for two players, a harbormaster, and a friendly robber(!) – as well as five scenarios that can be linked together to create a larger campaign:

• The Fishermen of Catan – Fish in the great lake or try casting in rich coastal shoals. A fresh, expanded, and updated version!
• The Rivers of Catan – Not one, but two, great rivers invite flourishing commerce. Bridge them en route to glory and wealth.
• The Caravans – Nomads of the oasis seek wool and grain. Camel caravans offer trade.
• Barbarian Attack – Eager for booty, vile barbarians land and occupy Catan’s fertile shores. Brave knights unite and ride to battle.
• Traders & Barbarians – Your wagons transport fine marble, glass, tools, and sand to help restore Catan’s castle to splendor.

Catan: Trades and Barbarians includes nearly a hundred wooden pieces along with tiles, coin tokens, and 120 cards. It retails for $42, and the scenarios have playing times of 90-120 minutes. This game has been updated on Gone Cardboard.
