Caylus Premium Limited Edition - Online Orders Will Be Available

Ystari’s Cyril Demaegd says that the Caylus Premium Limited Edition, featuring artwork and design from Mike Doyle and fancy metal deniers, should be available for preorder in July. And good news for those not making the trek to Essen—at least 500 copies of the game will be available for sale through the Ystari website to international customers. The bad news? The price will be in the neighborhood of €60 due to the expense of the metal bits and overall production.

Anyone preordering the game, whether for pick-up at the Ystari booth or for shipping, will receive a figure of King Phillip the Fair, which Demaegd describes as “awesome.”

This is very good news. Considering what good metalwork can cost these days, the price is not that much of a surprise. The question I have is whether the price is sans shipping. I have to suspect that it is, but it never hurts to ask…

Either way, I am going to have to plan on one coming to live at my house - the metal coins and the period artwork on the tiles just really calls to me! The fact that I don’t have to beg or plead to get someone to pick it up for me at Essen is a bonus…

Yes, the price is for the game itself, not the shipping involved to get it to your door—and depending on how many deniers are included, the game could be weighty indeed.

I tried to get some information about this on their website but nothing is available. How can I get it from Essen?

Paulo, as mentioned in the news item, Ystari will likely have the preorder information available in July. Right now the company has to focus on the possibility of Ysphahan winning Spiel des Jahres.
