Christophe Boelinger Founds Ludically, Announces Dungeon Twister 2

Game designer Christophe Boelinger, along with Jean-Charles Mourey, has founded a new game company called Ludically, and as you might expect Ludically will take over the publication of Dungeon Twister and its expansions, although Asmodee will continue to distribute the titles. One of Ludically’s first projects will be Dungeon Twister 2: Prison, which the press release on the Dungeon Twister website describes as “a box full of surprises and new elements, while staying 100% compatible with every existing game material.” TricTrac.net notes that this game will be released in September 2009 and include 3D figures instead of cardboard ones. Three of the characters will be repeats from the base game, while the others will be new, along with eight new rooms.

As for other publishing plans, here’s more from the press release: “The new publisher has lots of projects in its closets, from the big ‘Monster’ game to the family game, with small atmosphere games and outdoor games in the middle. Ludically hopes to surprise a little more with each publication, will not confine to a specific gaming area, and will on the contrary explore a wide range of themes, pleasures, and game mechanics.”
