Citadels Coming to the iPhone
Fantasy Flight Games, through its Fantasy Flight Studios media division, will release a version of Bruno Faidutti’s Citadels for the iPhone. Apple sold more than one million iPhone 3G units in its first weekend of release in July 2008, and the App Store – which offers mobile applications for the iPhone from both professional and amateur developers – saw 10 million downloads during that same time.
Fantasy Flight expects the Citadels iPhone application to be available in Q1 2009.

What?!? No Xbox Live Arcade? Don’t they know that is where all the board games are showing up? Posted by Rob Cannon on Aug 20, 2008 at 03:33 PM | #

Will it be solo or multiplayer? If multiplayer will it be networked or will you pass the iPhone? Posted by Gabe Alvaro on Aug 20, 2008 at 08:27 PM | #

Your right Rob, Xbox Live is definitely one of the best places to start for board games, what im looking forward too is the use of touch screen technology with board games. The iPhone is just the beginning, great work FFG. Posted by Simon Russell on Aug 21, 2008 at 03:28 AM | #

Didn’t this article originally mention another game they were making for the iPhone besides Citadels? I swear I remember it saying something… Posted by Stefan Lopuszanski on Aug 24, 2008 at 03:04 AM | #

Ya, it was the Wings of War one. I guess I thought it was coming to the iPhone or something. Still good to see it coming to a console! Thanks! =) Posted by Stefan Lopuszanski on Aug 24, 2008 at 11:03 AM | #

Well, the Nintendo DS has has had touch screen boardgaming for some time. Unfortunately, not many are quite the Eurogame style. (Clubhouse Games being the only contender I can think of...) Posted by Matt J. Carlson on Aug 24, 2008 at 01:12 PM | #
