The Reiner Knizia title from Pegasus Spiele previously announced as Merchants will actually be titled Handelsfürsten—which is German for (wait for it) Merchants! The subtitle, Herren der Meere, does not refer to mermen, but rather traders of a nautical nature. Here’s a brief description of the game:
| The game is set in the 16th century when big merchants ships ruled the sea. Each player has at least two ships which he or she can load with 1 of 5 cargo cubes of his choice. If the right goods are traded, the player can score even when it is not his or her turn. |

Handelsfürsten is for 2-4 players, ages 8 and up, with a playtime of 30 minutes.

A literal translation would be “Merchant Princes: Lords of the Seas”. Posted by Doug Orleans on Sep 28, 2007 at 04:52 PM | #
