Dale Yu: Greetings from Germany
Well, by the time that you’re reading this, I had better be in Germany! My flight left Columbus, Ohio on Monday night and I should have arrived in Dusseldorf yesterday morning.
Well, I haven’t been here long enough to tell you anything neat yet – but you can follow along with my presumed schedule!
Wednesday –
Agricola demo
Go to the official press meeting to see all the games up close
Watch the booths get set up and maybe pick up some pre-orders
Reception at the Fragor booth
evening playtest of Parys and Jamaica (shh! this is supposedly top-secret)
Thursday –
Morning test of Im Jahr des Drachen
Wander the halls looking for games
Hamburgum Demo
Dinner at the Istra – watch another attempt at the Big Meat club?
Friday –
Pick up my Winsome Games and other preorders
official meeting with HABA (thanks Eric!)
hopeful meeting with Selecta Spiel
frantic packing/repacking of the bags to see if I have any space left
Saturday –
annual quest to spend remaining Euros to fit the remaining space that I have left
Sunday –
time to fly home and catch up on my sleep deficit!
Until your next appointment,
The Gaming Doctor
