Days of Wonder Announces Fix for BattleLore Banners and Specialist Cards
In July 2007, Days of Wonder announced two problems with the four BattleLore Specialist sets due out in the summer: First, the back of all Specialist cards in these sets didn’t match the back of the Specialist cards included in Call to Arms, which was released in May. Second, the Hyena riders in the Goblin Marauders Sepcialist had two incorrect banners.
Days of Wonder has now announced measures to correct both problems, starting with new sets of Blue long sword banners for the Hyena riders. To receive a replacement set of banners, visit the DoW website and fill out the banner replacement form. (Alternatively, you could pull two banners from units included in the base game and solve the problem immediately.)
As for the Specialist cards, Days of Wonder is reprinting the ten Specialist cards from Call to Arms—not the newer Specialist packs—and expects that these replacement cards will be available no sooner than mid-November. Once they arrive, the company will announce how people can obtain them. The back of all future Specialist cards will match the back of the Specialist cards included in the sets currently available.

It is consistent behavior like this that makes me have big love for Eric & Mark & the rest of the crew at Days of Wonder. (It also keeps me plunking down those dollars on Battlelore - which would seem wasteful if I didn’t have a 6-year-old son who is currently cleaning my clock in the central section of the Muddy Waters battlefield with his stupid Goblin Band and Long Bow archers.) Thanks, guys! Posted by Mark "Fluff Daddy" Jackson on Aug 26, 2007 at 07:14 PM | #
