Duel in the Dark Expansions Keep Expanding

Friedemann de Pedro’s Duel in the Dark was released (in German) by Pilot Games and (in English) by Z-Man Games in the middle of 2007, and new expansions for the game keep popping up.

To start with, De Pedro is giving away a Railroad Flak tile at the Pilot Games booth at Spiel 07. Z-Man Games is offering three ground defense tiles—Quad Flak, Acoustic Mirror, and the aforementioned Railroad Flak—for sale through the Z-Man website; the price for three tiles (in any combination) is $5. De Pedro is also offering a Ju88 “Night Fighter” through the Duel in the Dark website for €4.90, plus€2 shipping. To get an idea of what the JU88 does, visit the downloads section of the Duel website for explanations in English, German and Spanish.

Update Oct. 1: De Pedro has said that 100 copies of the Ju88 expansion are available now through the Duel in the Dark website and 200 more while be on hand at Spiel. (More will arrive in December.)

What’s more, de Pedro says that he’ll present a few other expansions at Spiel in addition to the ones listed above: the “Skilled Flak Crew,” the 3-5 player variant, and the “Walls Have Ears” expansion. Grab a seat early to test them all…
