Finnish Games of the Year 2008
The Finnish games of the year – the Vuoden Peli – have been announced by the Finnish Toy Association, and the winners are:
Adult category
- Modern Art, by Reiner Knizia (Lautapelit.fi) – Winner
- Taidolla ja Tuurilla (aka Wits & Wagers), by Dominic Crapuchettes (Competo) – Finalist
- Maximus, by Kimmo Sorsamo (Gambit Games) – Finalist

Family category
- Bandu, by Klaus Zoch (Competo) – Winner
- Oregon, by Åse and Henrik Berg (Lautapelit.fi) – Finalist
- Qwirkle, by Susan Ross (Competo) – Finalist
Children’s category
- Eläinpyramidi (Tavella) – Winner
- Koko perhe näyttelee (Tactic) – Finalist
- Muumien sanasirkus (Egmont) – Finalist
