From the Editor: Headed to Essen
The Boardgame News Spiel 09 preview is complete – or as complete as it’s going to be – and I’m headed to the airport in a few hours to make the trek to Essen. I’ll post updates from Spiel over the next several days, writing about reactions to new games and announcements of future releases both here on BGN and on the BGN Twitter feed and BGN Facebook page. Once again, the highlight of my gaming year will be BGG.Con rather than Essen, but I’m okay with that… Maybe one of these years, I’ll be able to make it there. For now, I will content myself with vicariously enjoying it by reading all of the reports, previews, reviews, tweets and such. (Of course, it also helps that I have a friend over there picking up some goodies for me again this year!) Safe travels and thanks for all of the hard work on the previews!
