From the Editor: RSS Future Update
Last week, a few of the BGN columns showed up on the RSS feed earlier than they should have. I’ve looked at the coding for the feed (which I hadn’t changed) and scheduled a number of future postings myself with none of them appearing on the RSS feed, so I’m thinking that each of those columnists (who shall remain nameless) accidentally posted their columns without setting the date and time of publication, then realized their mistake and fixed the date. The RSS feed cares only for first publication, however, so the column headers (without the body) were sent out anyway. Alas, no one from the future has succeeded in contacting us…

Hmm… Eric, if it’s any consolation, I’m often guilty of this. Though, usually I’m only early by a few hours. I often write my column late on Tuesday night, so sometimes I just go ahead and post it as soon as it’s done.
