From the Editor: Site Outages Anyone?

Is anyone getting errors while trying to access BGN? I’ve encountered micro-outages recently where I click on a page and get an error message, but when I click on the page one second later, I reach the desired page. Just wondering whether others are experiencing the same thing. I do a lot more clicking in the admin section of BGN than any ten people on the open pages, but if there’s a need for more server space, I want to know sooner rather than later.

It’s been quite a while since I have seen any problems, Eric.

I normally read the news through my feed reader, but when I do go to your actual site page I have never received an error.

RSS feeds vanished for me last week for a few days.

Thanks for the comments, and I hope you all unchecked that “follow-up” box as this is probably the most boring thread ever on BGN.

Yes, the feeds stopped working for a couple of days, then started up again, all with no action on my part one way or another. Just a glitch in the Matrix, I suppose, although I’ll plug Google Reader once again because I never lost the feed on GR and have never seen any of the errors that others report.

No problems for me!  Not since you change hosts or whatever several months ago.

No problems here at all...and I check the site on a daily basis.
