From the Editor: The Oasis of Fun and Origins

Today I’m off for yet another trip.  This time I’m doing two, two, two trips in one (those Certs commercials really say with ya!).  This Thursday to Sunday, I’ll be at the Oasis of Fun in Atlanta.  This is a smaller get-together - a mini-Gathering if you will - and I’m looking forward to four great days of seeing friends and playing games.

I won’t be reporting from the Oasis, but I will be reporting from next week’s convention - Origins.  Origins runs from next Thursday to Sunday and I’ll be posting my usual daily reports.  I have recently acquired a real video camera and hope to post a video report much like the one I did for the Gathering of Friends (but with better video quality).

As far as the news is concerned, I may post some while I’m gone but it depends on how busy I am, the Internet situation, etc.  I’ll be back home on Monday, July 3rd so you can expect the regular news to return then.

Oh, and a note about The Classic Misadventures in Gaming.  I’ve been posting these twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays, and I have posted another one today.  I’m not going to be able to post these while I’m gone, so you can expect the series to resume the week of July 3rd (and no, I’m not leaving you hanging in the middle of a story - today’s entry finishes the story started on Wednesday).
