From the Editor: Third Annual Games for Soldiers Drive

As in 2006 and 2007, I’m hosting a “game for soldiers” drive for the upcoming holiday season. From now through November 24, all donations to BGN will be placed in a separate account to be used to purchase games for U.S. troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. What’s more, I’ll donate $10 from each $25 BGN membership paid for during that time period. You can also mail checks, money orders and games to the address on the contact page. Since I’m starting earlier this year, I should be able to have the games in their hands before the holidays this time. I will once again pay for all the shipping myself, so the more you donate, the more I donate!

As in 2007, Dan Yarrington at Myriad Games in Salem, NH will coordinate the order, in addition to offering a nice discount and adding additional games from his shelves. BGN readers donated almost $700 in 2007, with the discount and additional titles from Myriad Games – in addition to two dozen games from FRED Distribution – adding even more gaming goodness to the shipments. Here’s to topping that total in 2008…
