Games Quarterly #12, with Fishermen of Catan, Shipping February 12

Games Quarterly #12, which ships February 12, will include the Fishermen of Catan expansion that was previously available only through Spielbox magazine. Here’s an exclamatory description for your enlightenment:

For years, settlers have struggled to make their home on the bountiful island of Catan. But always they have looked inland, for the seas were barren. Not any more! With The Fishermen of Catan, you add a whole new dimension to your Settlers of Catan games! Now the sea can produce a special resource, different from everything you can collect on land!

This brand new expansion scenario, designed by Klaus Teuber himself, introduces fish tokens which can only be collected by building settlements on the shores of Catan. These valuable fish can be used to bribe the robber, trade for resources, or even earn valuable development cards!

But beware! You may catch the old boot, which could push victory out of your reach! The bounty of the sea awaits you in the Fishermen of Catan!

Subscribers to GQ will receive issue #11 with 12 new Carcassonne tiles as their first issue. You can also find Games Quarterly in your friendly local game store.
