Gone Cardboard: Cosmic Incursion, Due February 2010
Fantasy Flight Games announced Cosmic Incursion, an expansion for its version of Cosmic Encounter, at the end of October 2009. FFG has now given a February 2010 release date for Cosmic Incursion along with a few more details about what’s included. In a preview on its website, FFG previewed a few cards from a 32-card reward deck, a new variant for the game. Players who ally with the defense during an attack can draw some or all of their rewards from this deck, which has more powerful cards than the main deck.
The preview linked to above also shows off the Sniveler, one of twenty alien races to be included in Cosmic Incursion, ten of which have previously appeared in versions of CE over the years and ten brand new races. Other races in the set are the Fungus, the Magician and the Locust.
Cosmic Incursion, which also includes bits for a sixth player, will retail for $25. This game has been updated on Gone Cardboard.
