Gone Cardboard: FRED Distribution to Release Cavum, Other Titles with QWG

FRED Distribution has signed a co-publishing agreement with Dutch publisher QWG Games to release recent and forthcoming titles from QWG in the U.S. and UK. The first title to be released will be a reprint of Cavum, a Wolfgang Kramer/Michael Kiesling title that was released at Spiel 08 in a multi-language edition. For the reprint of Cavum, FRED Distribution will release the English version, German distributor Hutter Trade will release the German, and QWG will release the combined French/Dutch version.

QWG previously announced two new titles for 2009 – Xavier Georges’ Carson City, for which BGN posted pictures and a description in December 2008, and Emanuele Ornella’s Martinique, a two-player game about searching for lost treasure in the Caribbean. Those titles will be part of this co-publishing arrangement, although their release dates won’t be announced until later.
