Gone Cardboard News: Age of Empiress III - Second Printing Due in Early 2008
Glenn Drover has announced that Age of Empires III has almost sold through its first printing of 10,000 copies, so a second printing will be scheduled for the first half of 2008. This new printing will include a few small changes: an updated (i.e. more usable) scoring track; thicker stock for the cards, box and rules manual; and four new Capital buildings. Asked about making these buildings available to owners of the first printing, Drover says, “I will make sure that we make them available one way or another.”

I’m looking forward to seeing what the new buildings will be. Now, let’s just hope a smaller box is also one of the changes. Posted by Kevin Wood on Dec 20, 2007 at 04:37 PM | #

Smaller and/or sturdier. :^) I’m envious about the new scoring track, but I get along just fine using standard wooden cubes on it, instead of people. Still, it’s great to read that this game is getting proper attention from consumer and publisher alike! Posted by Nathan Morse on Dec 20, 2007 at 04:51 PM | #

Nathan- Just use a separate sheet for scoring… There’s a good scoretrack on the geek. Posted by Mark Wilder on Dec 20, 2007 at 06:00 PM | #

Normally I do the score maths in the end game. I like the thrill of no one knowing who the lidder is. And we do a little scoring game in the final. :) Posted by Vital Lacerda on Nov 4, 2009 at 07:01 PM | #
