Gone Cardboard News: Asmodée Cancels Renaissance
Almost a year after it first announced the project, Asmodée Editions has decided not to release Renaissance – a sequel to designer Pascal Bernard’s Joan of Arc – in English after all. Eric Franklin’s English translation of the rules is available for download from the BoardGameGeek Renaissance page for those who want to pick up the game in French.
This game has been removed from Gone Cardboard.

Just by way of clarification: It’s not MY translation. I don’t speak nearly enough French to translate game rules, much as I would love to. It’s Asmodée’s draft of the English rules, for which I believe Eric Harlaux did the bulk of the translation work. All I did was help clarify the English a bit. I obtained permission from Asmodée to upload the file once I learned that the English-language release had been cancelled. Eric Posted by Eric Franklin on May 6, 2008 at 09:16 PM | #

Thanks for the note, Eric! I’ve done the same thing for a few publishers, so I know what you’re talking about. Other Eric Posted by W. Eric Martin on May 6, 2008 at 11:15 PM | #
