Gone Cardboard News: Chicago Poker - Coming from Mayfair
The French duo of Bruno & Bruno (Faitdutti and Cathala, that is) has a new title coming soon from Mayfair Games. Here’s a description of Chicago Poker from the publisher:
| Welcome to the roaring twenties! The players represent notorious gangster bosses in the heyday of organized crime in Chicago. They try to take control of the main legal and illegal sources of profit: speakeasies, gambling houses, jazz clubs, and breweries/distilleries.
In order to achieve this, each player sends his gangsters to intimidate the owners of these businesses. Most of the businesses even change ownership at the gambling table! The first player to take control of either 3 businesses of the same kind, 4 different businesses or any 5 businesses is the winner in Chicago Poker! |

Chicago Poker is for 2-6 players, ages 10 and up, with a playing time of 45 minutes and a retail price of $35. Phalanx Games has just released the Dutch and French version in Europe; Mayfair’s edition is due out in early October.
This game has been added to Gone Cardboard.

Some people are calling it multi player Schotten-Totten. My interest is tickled! Posted by Surya Van Lierde on Aug 9, 2007 at 09:12 AM | #
