Gone Cardboard News: Hannibal: Rome vs. Carthage Update
Valley Games has announced that Hannibal: Rome vs. Carthage will now ship from Germany in mid-September, which means that preorder customers in Europe and Asia will receive a package shortly afterwards while North and South Americans will need to wait up to three weeks while the games are shipped overseas. To make up for the additional delay, Valley Games is adding extra general figures to the figures already included for those who preordered.
This game has been updated on Gone Cardboard.

It’s great that VG is so open about the delay and gives clients something in return for their patience. This is a positive sign for the future in my book! Posted by Surya Van Lierde on Sep 3, 2007 at 04:37 AM | #

These delays have keep me from placing several orders on the 750 list. I’m waiting for Hannibal: Rome vs. Carthage to arrive before I make any more choices of their future games. They did wait until the very last of August to let us know of a month delay. Most likely they knew there was no way the order would be ready to ship to folks in North America several weeks before this update. I just hope the games arrive at my home sometime before the end of October. Posted by William Anderson on Sep 3, 2007 at 05:55 PM | #

I don’t get it. They don’t have particulary worse delays than let’s say Rio Grande or Fantasy Flight, so why is everyone so sceptical? Posted by Surya Van Lierde on Sep 4, 2007 at 02:29 AM | #

I only speak for myself. I’m not happy with delays by Rio Grande or Fantasy Flight. But they don’t have my money either before the game finally arrives. If there are no further delays I’ll be ok, but still a bit disappointed due to the several months of extra waiting. Hope all goes well for Valley Games. Maybe they could name a few business in Germany that don’t meet deadlines on printing. The ones that do should also get some credit and future business.
