Gone Cardboard News: Hell Dorado - Coming from Asmodée in 2007

Asmodée Editions will publish Hell Dorado, a miniatures/board game combination, sometime before the end of 2007. Rick first wrote about Hell Dorado in his coverage of GenCon 2006:

Hell Dorado is basically a miniatures wargame. It takes place during the 30 Years War when the gates of hell opened up. Now in most games the demons would come out to take control of the Earth but in Hell Dorado, the opposite happens—religious fanatics descend into hell to conquer it.

The game is meant to be easy to set up and play; a game can be played in an hour. The miniatures are metal and unpainted—I saw a bunch of them and they were extraordinary.  The game will be initially sold in four started boxes, one of each faction.

Asmodée now has a webpage devoted to Hell Dorado, although the info there is scant, in addition to a Hell Dorado blog, which is also skimpy right now.

This game has been added to Gone Cardboard.
