Gone Cardboard News: Memoir ‘44 Air Pack - Announced by Days of Wonder
After months of people wondering whether BattleLore had killed off Memoir ‘44, they can finally breath a sigh of relief as Days of Wonder has announced the Memoir ‘44 Air Pack expansion.

The Air Pack contains eight painted airplanes—a departure from the unpainted figures included in the base game and previous expansions—new airfield terrain tiles, six new obstacles, a comprehensive 120 card summary deck, and a book of all 64 scenarios released to date, with many scenarios being updated or revised thanks to the wealth of expansions that have been released since Memoir ‘44’s first appearance in 2004.
Naturally you need a copy of the base game to make use of the Air Pack, and some scenarios require terrain tiles and figures included in one or more of the expansions. Memoir ‘44 Air Pack will be released in both English and French in November 2007 with a retail price around $40. For a complete list of components, visit the Air Pack webpage at Memoir44.com.
Days of Wonder also gave a small update to the Memoir ‘44 carrying case that was bandied about for many months, referring to the item as a soft-sided Campaign Bag. More on that in a later announcement…
The Memoir ‘44 Air Pack has been added to Gone Cardboard.

I haven’t seen the components yet, but 40 seems quite steep for 8 planes, 120 cards and some hexes, no? Posted by Surya Van Lierde on Sep 5, 2007 at 08:53 AM | #

I imagine most of the rulebook is the scenarios. If it’s one per page, than there are only 16 pages of rules. Posted by Jim Forsythe on Sep 11, 2007 at 09:22 AM | #
