Gone Cardboard News: ??? - Not-Quite-Announced from Valley Games

On Monday, April 23rd, Boardgame News will have a special announcement of a new title from Valley Games. Well, sort of a new title—more of a new old title actually. Let the speculation run rampant until then!

Hmmm, do you think they would do this secret about thatone? Everybody knows about it already, and here http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/150881 you can see that it already has a number in the collection too.

I’m thinking Cosmic Encounter might be a decent candidate.

I’m hoping for an English edition of Extrablatt

I had a rumour heard that Extrablatt was going to get a reprint.

My guess:  Chinatown

Ian, Chinatown is being reissued by Filosofia, a Canadian company, and is expected to be released in the fall of 2007. You need to guess again!

How about Tales fo the Arabian Nights? That seems to be on a lot of reprint wish lists…

What’s the most expensive oop game on ebay? That might be a clue.

If I were them, I’d try for the Acquire license.

I might have missed it, but I’m still waiting on an announcement for the general shipping time frame on Hannibal: RvC, after having prepaid for one; I’d rather get that announcement first if possible.

Republic of Rome? Or History of the World. Didn’t Ragnar Brothers say that they were working on a third edition of this game for an external company?

It is a super secret Knizia game, presumably a new game. Coool....

VG also indicated they are going to be producing *man* more games.  Exciting!

I know what their “super secret Knizia game” is, and it doesn’t fit into the “sort of a new title—more of a new old title actually” category…

Surya:

What do you mean, it doesn’t fit into the sort of a new title--more of a new old tile actually” ??

My guess is it is a rethemed knizia classic.

I have played the game they announced as the “secret Knizia” game, and it’s a brand new one. That doesn’t mean this game couldn’t be a rethemed Knizia classic offcourse.
