Gone Cardboard News: Update on Chinatown from Filosofia

Martin Bouchard at Filosofia has passed along the following information about his company’s edition of Chinatown. “It won’t be a simple reprint of Alea’s version,” he says. “It will be a new, redesigned game. We don’t have any date for the launch, but we think that the game will be available in autumn. We have rights for all languages, and while we don’t exactly know for the moment which languages will be available, for sure we’ll have French and English.”

The graphic designer hasn’t started work on the game, so images of the new edition will be available in the months ahead. This game has been updated on Gone Cardboard.

I don’t really care if they change the look of the game, but man, I hope they don’t change the design.  It’s just about perfect the way it is.

Sadly, I’ve owned Chinatown for almost two years and I’ve never played it. I suppose I should try getting it on the table at least once before it’s reprinted, eh?

That’s strange, Brett—I’ve played Chinatown twice in two years and never owned it. Is that you I see when I look in the mirror?
