Gone Cardboard: Sector 41, Coming from Scimitar Games

Sector 41 is the first title from a new California-based game company called Scimitar Games. Sector 41, which is designed by first-timers Dave Long and Michael Lachtanski, pits 2-4 players against one another in some distant corner of space in a fight over Glynium. Never heard of it? Well, it is rare enough that folks have to cross galaxies for it, so I’m not surprised. Players move their explorers over the randomly placed tiles and their interstellar vessels to fold space and alter that playing area to their advantage, all while watching for signs of the awakening of the guardian of Sector 41, a being who will be peeved by your plundering.

Sector 41 is for players 12 and up with a playing time of 90 minutes and a preorderr price of $40. The game, which is due in April 2009, has been added to Gone Cardboard.
