Hacienda Contest

German publisher Hans im Glück is having a contest to see who can come up with new boards for their game Hacienda.  Here’s some information about the contest from Hans im Glück, translated by Patrick Korner:

The Great Hacienda Game Board Contest

The game board generator created by our friends at www.westpark-gamers.de has been very popular over the past weeks.  So what would make more sense than holding a contest.  The contest works like this: Send us your game board creations.  All submissions will be entered into a draw for autographed copies of Hacienda.  The best boards will be presented at www.hans-im.glueck.de.

What: The boards should be created using the game board generator.  It doesn’t matter if it’s a board better suited to two players or more, as long as it’s noted.  The board should also have a fitting name.

Who: Anyone can enter a single board.  Please do not submit multiple boards and please do not send multiple emails under the same name.

How: After the board has been created, save it in the .haz file format.  The name of the board should be before the period.

Where: Send the file to info@hans-im-glueck.de in an email with the title “Hazienda-Wettbewerb” (Hacienda Contest).

When: Contest closes 30 April 2006.

Why: Wolfgang Kramer and Hans Im Glück will choose the best and most original boards among those submitted; these boards will be made public on www.hans-im-glueck.de.  All entries will also have a chance to win an autographed copy of Hacienda.

Does anyone know if they ever selected any winners?  I’ve checked back several times, but I’ve not seen anything on their web page (given my extremely limited German).
