Halo Board Game Coming in September
Video games and board games are interbreeding like bunnies these days. The latest announcement is for the Halo Interactive Strategy Game from Genius Products and B1 Games, which allows players “to control USNC Marine and Covenant forces in strategic battles for power,” to quote from the press release.

The game will have a modular board, along with exclusive DVD content and music from the video game’s soundtrack to enhance game play. The game bits will include 3D collectible characters in two levels of play: “Heroic for faster, more casual game play, and Legendary for more strategic advanced gamers.” You can play in campaign mode or in head-to-head battles, and the game could be expanded in the future with more vehicles, characters, weapons and adventures.
This game has been added to Gone Cardboard.

Hmmm. I learned one thing. The development company called B1 Games makes just about all of the really terrible licensed DVD games. http://www.b1games.com/previous.html
The other good quote from the B1 site is:

Oh, come on, Frank – cohesive experiences is where it’s at! I’ve been looking for a game that coheres for a long time, and my wishes have finally been answered. Eric Posted by W. Eric Martin on Jul 3, 2008 at 06:42 PM | #

You know, I once bought this silly little Chinese “Sticky Hand” toy entirely because of the blurb on the front: “This product contains stickyness” So, yeah, I’m now totally sold on the game. Posted by Frank Branham on Jul 4, 2008 at 12:10 AM | #
