Kingsburg Website A Thing of Beauty

Game publishers who want to dress up their websites could take a peek at the Kingsburg website set up by French publisher Ubik to see how to immerse someone in a game. Admittedly the effect is somewhat lost on me as my French is tres mal and my computer sound was muted, but it was still an eyeful…

Nice looking site, though a little busy for my taste. I don’t know how functional the site is, though.  I was driven away by the audio loop.  There should always be a way to turn it off.  Perhaps viewers are listening to something else.

It does have a way to turn it off…

I think it’s a wonderful design and evokes the mood of the game real well!

This kind of web is the standar web-design by Ubik (France) / Edge (Spain).

For example:
- ¡Aventureros al tren! (Ticket to Ride)
http://www.aventurerosaltren.edgeent.com/
- Caylus
http://www.caylus.edgeent.com/
- Arkham Horror
http://www.arkhamhorror.edgeent.com/
- A través del desierto (Through the Desert)
http://www.atravesdeldesierto.edgeent.com/

etc, etc.

Its catalogue: http://www.edgeent.com/ - Then click on “1”, then click on “Juegos de cartas” or “Juegos de Tablero”, and then choose a boardgame and click on “Entrar en la web”.

¡Nos jugamos!
