Knizia Games for the iPhone?

Here’s a request that might interest a few techy gamers:

Reiner Knizia is looking to see if anyone, publisher or individual, with a track record is interested in programming any of his back catalogue that is suitable for the iPhone to sell through the Apple Store. This would be on the basis of a distribution of the proceeds, after Apple’s cut.

If you’re interested and think you qualify, then send a note with your credentials and area of interest to the BGN editorial address for forwarding to a Knizia representative. Note that BGN is acting only as a middleman and has no financial interest in any deals that result from this post.

(Umm, Android the Google phone platform, not Android the boardgame.  That would not be fun on a phone.)

Find the right partner, and I’m pretty sure Reiner is open to deals on any platform. The iPhone has an advantage of a distribution channel open to people to use, as I understand it, hence starting with a suggestion there. But a publisher, possibly on multiple platforms, would be really convenient.

(I’m doing more than speculating - I actually wrote the words Eric quotes at Reiner’s request and sent them to Eric and posted them on the Geek. But of course I’m in the same position as Eric, passing on suggestions, not part of any deal. Fortunately Eric can contact Reiner, so we avoided a really messy double intermediate setup.)
