Machi, Coming from Tilsit in December

Machi is a new title from French publisher Tilsit and first-time designer Loïc Billiau. Continuing the recent trend of Japanese-themed games – with Senji, Genji and Wasabi! being other examples – players in Machi need to develop their villages both economically and culturally in order to attract new villagers while simultaneously using their samurai to challenge opponents to duels and protect their holdings from yakuza attacks instigated by rivals. Whoever best impresses the Emperor will be appointed Shogun.

Machi is for 3-5 players ages 10 and up with a playing time of 90 minutes and a retail price of €35. Rules in French are available on the Machi webpage on the Tilsit website. For a large image of the game components, head to the game announcement on TricTrac.net and click on “Pour voir une image en grand du matériel de jeu.”

I have made a full translation of the rules.  If interested let me know and I will gladly email it.  I have asked permission from Tilsit to post the translation on BGG but have heard nothing back yet.  I’ll make a post on BGG in the Machi forum so you can just geekmail me if interested.
