Matt Carlson: 2008 Holiday Puzzler

The holidays are upon me in full force.  I had hoped to finish up my annual holiday shopping guide for this post, but it isn’t quite done.  To tide you all over a bit longer, here is a quick little picture puzzle.

I’ve taken the box shots from each of the boardgames on my list, inverted the colors, and given them a good blurring.  See how many you can spot.  Most of them are new (from the past year or two), but there are a few classics on there as well.  They appear here in the same order they appear on my holiday shopping guide.  I’ll post a link to the guide (hosted over at www.GamingWithChildren.com) later next week along with a solution.

My final hint will be that none of the games on this year’s list appear on my past holiday guides.  If you want to see those, check out past years entries for:  2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007.

UPDATE: My shopping guide is now online, you can check it out at:  Gaming With Children.
Enjoy!

(The solution to the puzzle has also been posted to the bottom of this post, scroll down and highlight the text to read it....)

Hope someone got at least a little bit of enjoyment out of the puzzle.  The solution has been added to the post, and a link has also been provided to my shopping guide if anyone is interested…
