Media Watch: It’s all in the game
From the (Rochester, MN) Post-Bulletin:
| Fill a room with three or four dozen people, a fair number of tables and chairs and a variety of games and you get a sort of all-day party with something for everyone.
“A lot of people like to play games, and so what we do is bring different groups of people together,” said Wade Schwendemann of Rochester, treasurer of Rochester Gamers’ Community.... Not every game was a board game, though. Return of the Heroes, for example, uses a variety of cards about the size of pot holders. Put them altogether and a playing field forms. |
Cards the size of pot holders – I like that comparison, although the author’s attempt to explain Shadows Over Camelot later in the piece is a dud. To read the entire article, visit the Post-Bulletin website.

Glad to see the coverage for their “Gamer’s Reunion.” Hopefully I can get down there for it. I was supposed to attend this day, but my 5 yr old was sick… At least i know my 9 yr old will be able to play games with people :). Posted by Ryan Olson on Mar 8, 2008 at 08:47 PM | #
