Media Watch: Students Sharpen Their Thinking with an Old Board Game

Battles are often waged in a classroom at Sun Prairie High School.

The classroom of English teacher Eric Piotrowski is where students gather to play Go, a strategic board game. The games are played daily before school, during lunch four days a week and after school every Tuesday.

“At end of the game, each person has sort of walled-off territories,” said Piotrowski, who started the high school Go Club. “Sometimes it becomes an all-out bloody battle.”
