| As technology pushes the world of gaming further into the realm of the Xbox, Playstation and Nintendo Wii, the days of table-top board games seem to be on the brink of extinction.
But dig beyond the age-old standbys of Monopoly, Sorry or Risk, and there is a treasure trove of newer games to discover. “The board games we play these days are much quicker than most people expect, while the board games people are used to playing typically take over two or three hours,” says Jasen Robillard, organizer of the Calgary Board Games Meetup Group, formed in 2004 from Robillard’s love of board games. |
