Million Dollar Password, Now on Sale
Password used to be a mainstay of morning television in the U.S., with celebrities slowly enunciating single word clues to members of the hoi polloi. The Password game show also came into people’s home as a boxed game, with more than two dozen editions appearing over the years.
In 2008, Password returned to the U.S. airwaves under the inflated name Million Dollar Password, so naturally the game is returning to retail shelves in board game form once again. In late November 2008, Endless Games released Million Dollar Password, which bears host Regis Philbin’s mug on the front cover and more than three thousand passwords in the box. The $25 game also includes musical accompaniment that matches the countdown music from the new game show.

What is it with CDs accompanying board games these days? I know its not a new concept as there have been VCR/DVD games in the past that “enhance” gameplay..but geez! Does anyone use the accompaniment when playing? just curious.. Posted by tom moughan on Dec 1, 2008 at 10:41 AM | #

Tom - the accompaniment for Million Dollar Password isn’t on CD; to your point, it’s built in to the game itself, and simply serves as the music behind the countdown. Posted by JP Basile on Dec 3, 2008 at 08:59 PM | #
