More Digital Games Coming from Reiner Knizia & Merscom

Merscom released a PC version of Reiner Knizia’s Ingenious in the first half of 2007, but that’s only the first of many creations to come out of this relationship, according to a press release dated Sept. 5 from Merscom:

Merscom and renowned board game designer Dr. Reiner Knizia announced today that Merscom will develop and publish multiple Xbox LIVE Arcade, Nintendo DS and PC games based on concepts created by Reiner Knizia. Merscom will work with Knizia Games to create interactive games exclusively for the company as well as utilize existing Knizia board games and as-yet-unpublished board game concepts. Merscom plans to begin releasing the titles in early 2008.

You can read the complete press release on the Merscom website.

Yah!  DS boardgames + home wireless network = worldwide boardgaming from my easy chair and with no monthly fee.  Guess my daughter is going to have to find something else to do while I dominate her DS.  lol

Nah, just get your own.  :) I actually already use mine for gaming...I have the Space Dealer soundtrack ripped to MP3, and play it on my DS.  I also have a homebrew stopwatch app I use for Das Motorsportspiel.

But *real* boardgames, using the DS WiFi and local wireless connections?  Awesome.
