More Ghost Stories, Both Now and in October
Antoine Bauza’s Ghost Stories was one of many success stories at Spiel 08, with Repos Production selling out of copies before the end of the convention. With Ghost Stories being composed of a ghost deck, town tiles and separate monk boards, it’s easy to imagine the game being expanded in multiple different ways, such as the bonus town tile available to those who preordered the base game. Repos Production now has a bonus ghost card for April 2009, another aspect of Wu-Feng known as…

Yes, Chuck No-Rice is deadly enough that he wipes out other ghosts on the board where he appears, in addition to causing damage to each monk in the row where he stands. You can download a PDF of Chuck No-Rice from the Repos website, along with a revised edition of the English rules.
And for those who want even more, Repos promises the release of Ghost Stories: White Moon in October 2009. More details on that expansion later…

I assume today’s card is an April Fools joke, but is the White Moon expansion in October at least real? Posted by Tom Rosen on Apr 1, 2009 at 11:49 AM | #

No joke – you’ll have to use sleeves in order to add Chuck No-Rice to the ghost deck, but it’s there for downloading if you want it. And yes, the expansion is real, too. Eric Posted by W. Eric Martin on Apr 1, 2009 at 12:18 PM | #
