Power Grid, Munchkin Cthulhu Win at Lucca

Lucca Comics & Games 2008, possibly the largest game convention held in Italy, took place in late October 2008, and the Best of Show awards went to Friedemann Friese’s Alta Tensione (aka Power Grid) for best board game and best game mechanic, Steve Jackson’s Munchkin Cthulhu for best card game, Dungeons & Dragons, 4th Edition for best role-playing game, and Wizards of Mickey, co-designed by Kingsburg‘s Andrea Chiarvesio, for best collectible card game.
