Preorders Open for Le Havre

Anticipating great interest in its Spiel 08 release in the wake of the Agricola phenomenon, Lookout Games’ Hanno Girke is taking preorders for Le Havre. Write to lh-preorder@lookout-games.de for the Australian language edition and lh-deutsch@lookout-games.de for the German language edition. State how many copies you’re interested in, and which day you plan to pick up the game.

For more details on the game itself, head to Melissa Rogerson’s Le Havre overview here on Boardgame News.

Anyone live in the United States that is going to Spiel that can pick me up a copy? I live near Phiadelphia and would be willing to pay the cost of the game and shipping and stuff. =)

Hanno is taking pre-orders for mail order also!  Hurray!

Ya, unfortuantly the shipping is a ton because it ships from Europe. I’m really looking for someone who attends Spiel and who lives in the United States so shipping wouldn’t be insane.

Stefan, I picked up games for friends in previous years, but given the increased costs for luggage, both on weight and number of bags, bringing back a Le Havre for someone would effectively cost them the same amount as it would to ship the game, if you get what I’m saying. (I would charge them a portion of the weight/bag fee.) After all I’ve never seen someone leave Spiel with empty space in their bags!

Hanno and I looked at what it would cost to consolidate Australian orders - and it’s actually about the same as getting them shipped directly from Europe, once local postage is factored in.

I have pre-ordered 3 copies but not had a reply. Normally the company acknowledges the order with a reference or at least an email. Should I re-order or has no-one had a response?

Only those who explicitely asked for a response got one.
At the moment, I really don’t have spare time to get back to 200+ pre-oder eMails.
Maybe in a week or two.
Else, just show up. We’ll have a game for you or three.
