Scott Tepper: The Gaming Song

(Sung to the tune of The Christmas Song)
(and dedicated to my BGG Secret Santa who was very generous)

Boxes that open with a tooting tone
Plastic money that glints of gold
Multi-colored bits of glass, wood and stone
and boards that bend with linen folds

All the gamers know that decks of cards wrapped in Saran,
are always a welcome sight
And games with complex set-up diagrams
Will be played throughout the night.

You know that Nurnburg will soon be here
with new releases that arrive throughout the year.
And every gamer’s heart is gonna soar
to get a game not found at an ‘R Us store.

And so with this rhyme I hope to convey
to gamegroups of twelve, six, four, or two,
when you open your gifts may you have lots to play
Happy gaming to you!

Thank you everyone, for reading my column and all of the kind and thoughtful comments you made throughout the year.

May your new games have all their pieces when you open them,

Happy Holidays!

Scott
